Wearing Original Handmade Jewellery Will Put Your Stamp On Your Unique Style

The English Oxford dictionary says of accessory "supplement part or object" jewellery is often regarded in this way and this may be fine for the mass producers but this is not how you should view quality handmade jewellery, it is not dross, it is art, it takes imagination and skill to create a thing of uniqueness and beauty, that is why so many people already buy and wear handmade jewellery.

If you wish to standout from the crowd and put your stamp on your style and how you wear it, then your first step should be handmade jewellery, okay there is often a price difference when compared with the mass produced and handmade is generally more expensive, you do get what you pay for but shop around there are some brilliant designers out there, creating jewellery that will fit most budgets, one off pieces or very limited editions using quality materials and techniques that the mass produced just cannot equal.

Designers and craft people live and trade on their reputation, this results in the quality of service and overall buying experience being as important as the piece of jewellery purchased, whether you shop online or visit a shop on the high street because the artist that make the jewellery you are looking at put so much time, effort and energy into that piece, they are desperate for it to be displayed at it's absolute best. Each piece is an extension of themselves, they love that piece of jewellery and want you to experience the same passion when owning it as they had whilst creating it.

No matter how much they might try the producers of stock jewellery will never be able to put all that emotion into what they sell, it is just not possible. I know that when I finish a piece I will not really want to sell it, just add it to my collection and wear it as much as possible.
